Although I know all my customers have closed, I have decided to re-open. I have made this decision for many reasons. If I am honest, although there is the financial side to this decision BUT there is the fact that I am going stir crazy!
I have been fortunate enough to have had orders placed over the last few days and it’s been a welcome distraction. I would like to give a shout out to all my wonderful customers for supporting my small business. It means so much and I’m truly grateful.
The order book is open. I am able to get deliveries from my suppliers as normal. Although there may be a bit of a delay with deliveries, Royal Mail is a tad over stretched at the moment which is understandable. However, there will be a few changes to how I will be doing things for the next few weeks. With social distancing mainly influencing the changes I have planned. We all must do our bit where we can!
All orders will be posted on a Monday. I have a Post Office Drop and Go account. This means that I do not need to queue. I simply pop my parcels on a shelf and they then get processed as normal. The postage costs are then deducted from my account. All orders will still go signed for and recorded, as standard. By going once a week, I can plan this visit into either my daily exercise whilst walking Lucy or when I am doing my essential shopping. However, I will not be able to make deliveries. But remember I can still post them to you.
Fabric orders will only be placed once a week. These will leave my Laptop on a Monday evening. It’s a small gesture, but it’s one way I can help the postal system and it will also help my suppliers who are very busy at the moment. Although wool seems to be their number one seller at the moment!
I will be busy this weekend sorting current orders and getting ready for work next week. During the next three weeks I will be focusing on making sure there is as much stock ready to go as possible. I know everyone will be hitting the ground running. However, there is only so much fabric I can carry at one time. With this in mind, if you know you will need supplies for when lock down is over, please get in touch as soon as possible. If I can be as prepared as possible, it will make life so much easier. This applies especially to customers who like to choose their fabrics and designs.
I am so looking forward to getting back to work and once again I want to thank everyone that supports my small business. Without you there would be no Paws.
Love, Jo & Miss Lucy x
